Uganda Museum

Namugongo Martyrs Shrine 

For their refusal to renounce Christianity, 32 young men , pages of King Mwanga II of Buganda were burned to death on 3rd June, 1886 at Namugongo. This shrine is dedicated to them and is a must see religious tourist site in Kampala.

Kasubi Tombs


Only — kms away from the hotel lies the Kasubi Tombs. These tombs are the burial
grounds for four Kabakas, or Ugandan kings and other members of the Baganda royal
family. This Heritage Site provides a glimpse into the history and traditional architecture of
the Buganda Kingdom.
